Applied Behavior Analysis Technician (ABAT) Course

The ABAT course is an entry level ABA course which takes a minimum of 40 hours to complete. This course will provide you with a fundamental understanding of autism, principles of Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA), commonly used intervention strategies and ethics in the field.

- BACB Credential Level: Registered Behaviour Technician (RBT).

Once meeting all QABA requirements for this credential, typical ABAT roles in the human services field include entry-level Behaviour and Early Intervention Therapists. The ABAT course is also a great learning opportunity for parents and caregivers of children with ASD.

The Qualified Applied Behavior Analysis Credentialing Board (QABA®) is an internationally-accredited credentialing agency dedicated to ensuring the highest standard of care among professionals providing applied behavioural analysis (ABA) services for individuals with autism spectrum disorders and related disabilities.

Primary QABA® Requirements for ABAT Certification:

• Applicants must be at least 18 years old
• Applicants must possess a minimum of a high school diploma or national equivalent

Coursework Certificate of Completion

You will gain a certificate of completion once you finish your course with us. The certificate of completion is one major requirement you will need on your journey to obtain your QABA® Board credential.

QABA® Exam

Our training will provide you with the knowledge needed to pass the QABA® online exam, which you will need to pass in order to obtain your credential. QABA's examination process is designed to be easily understood and user friendly. Exam costs, structure and pass scores differ depending on the credential you are applying for. 

The examination process must be arranged with QABA® not ASBA.

Trainer Support (Professional & Elite) is focused on coursework and clinical inquiries via email. You can ask for clarification on specific board-aligned concepts, and our BCBA-level trainers will provide a detailed response within 5–7 days (Standard) or under 5 days (Priority).

Mentorship (Elite Only) includes 1-on-1 "Laser-Coaching" video sessions. These are private calls designed for high-intensity exam preparation, complex case conceptualisation, or personalised career guidance.

Once you enrol in the Elite level, you receive a "bank" of credits (2 for ABAT). You can book these sessions through our private calendar at any point during your 6-month enrolment. To maximise your time, we recommend you to submit your clinical question 24 hours in advance so the trainer can dive straight into the solution with you.

By having direct, face-to-face access to a mentor with coaching credits, you can troubleshoot difficult concepts in real-time and gain the clinical confidence that self-study alone cannot provide.

Our payment plan is designed for maximum transparency. Your first payment is due at checkout for immediate access. The remaining three installments are automatically billed every 30 days for three consecutive months. This ensures your account remains in good standing while you spread the investment over the first 90 days of your 6-month enrollment.
